Pyramid Corporation is committed to providing our Employees and our Clients the safest work environments possible. As foundation for this commitment, we strongly believe in the philosophy that NO accident or injury can be considered acceptable regardless of how insignificant it may seem. Minor incidents invariably lead to more serious occurrences, both of which must be prevented from happening.
“TARGET ZERO” is Pyramid Corporation’s
long-standing, corporate wide safety initiative. Our
Corporate Safety Goal is to achieve and maintain “Target Zero - Accident & Incident Free Operations.”
Pyramid
has been an active participant in the CERTIFICATE OF
RECOGNITION Program (C.O.R.) as administered through
the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA) since
1995. As an active program member, our Health, Safety
and Environmental Program is audited on an annual basis,
with external audits conducted every 3 years as per
C.O.R. Program Protocols.
Our HSE Program
Policies, Rules, Regulations and Standards are consistently
applied corporate wide throughout our operations, regardless
of work location. Reference is given to local applicable
Work Place Health and Safety Regulations to ensure Regulatory
compliance is maintained at all times.
In striving
to achieve our goal, we are focused on the pro-active
continuous improvement of our HSE Program and Processes.
A variety of in-house developed systems such as our
Hazard Classification System, associated Task Hazard
Review and J.H.A. Systems, our behaviour based safety
“Target Cards”, continual worker training
as well as our innovative fleet management system are
all key components in our concerted efforts towards
safety success.
We sincerely
believe our goal of “accident free operations”
is realistic and attainable.
No job is
so important that it can’t be done safely!
